Keinemusik

If you’re into electronic music and love hitting festivals, chances are you’ve heard whispers about keinemusik. This Berlin-based DJ/producer collective has been making waves since 2009, blending friendship, creativity, and a unique groove that gets crowds moving. They’re not just another crew of DJs – they’re a tight-knit team of artists carving out their own lane in the house and techno scene.

The Berlin Collective – A Quick Background

Keinemusik (cheekily meaning “no music” in German) emerged from Berlin’s vibrant club scene. The collective officially formed in 2009 when two up-and-coming DJs, &ME and Rampa, met at a recording studio and instantly clicked. They soon brought in Adam Port, whose eclectic background (from punk rock to Afrobeat) added extra flavor to their sound. From the start, their mission was simple: do their own thing – no gimmicks, just quality music on their terms.

Meet the Main Crew

  • &ME – A co-founder known for deep, melodic grooves that take listeners on a journey. He brings a soulful vibe to every track and DJ set.

  • Rampa – Another founding member, recognized for innovative productions often laced with tribal percussion. He’s the visionary who first dreamed up the Keinemusik concept.

  • Adam Port – A versatile DJ/producer with wide-ranging influences. Adam injects energy with genre-blending beats, and even scored a viral 2024 hit with “Move,” an Afro-house anthem.

From Underground Clubs to Global Festivals

In the early days, Keinemusik honed its craft at Berlin underground clubs like Cookies and Picknick, building a devoted local following. It wasn’t long before their infectious sound and laid-back vibe caught ears beyond Germany. By the mid-2010s they were packing dance floors across Europe and soon making waves at festivals worldwide. They’ve since lit up stages at iconic events like Tomorrowland.

Whether you’re at a tiny basement party or under the stars at a huge festival, a Keinemusik set is a vibe all its own. Everyone dances for hours – maybe decked out in creative festival accessories – completely lost in the music. That marathon energy is a big reason Keinemusik has become a must-see act for festival-goers everywhere.

Tracks and Milestones

A big part of Keinemusik’s rise is the music itself. In 2017 their debut album You Are Safe marked a turning point, showcasing the crew’s hypnotic house style with melodic twists and soulful vocals. Fans fell hard for tracks like the dreamy slow-burner “Muyè,” which became an underground anthem.

In 2021, the follow-up album Send Return took their sound even further. They teamed up with artists like Little Dragon, RY X, and Solomun to blend deep house with touches of neo-soul and R&B. Songs like “Feeling” and “Saving My Love” showed they can balance club-ready grooves with introspective vibes.

Global Impact on the Electronic Scene

Today, Keinemusik is a global name in electronic music. They’ve headlined festival stages from California’s Coachella to Amsterdam’s Awakenings, spreading their Afro-house–inspired sound. Fans love the human touch they bring to house and techno, focusing on groove and atmosphere over flashy drops.

Even Drake took notice – &ME and Rampa co-produced tracks on his 2022 dance album – and the crew also cameoed as DJs in Grand Theft Auto V. Not bad for a crew that began as friends throwing DIY parties in Berlin. Through it all, Keinemusik has stayed true to its roots – doing what they love and welcoming everyone to dance along.
